CIS fuel line question
Ok one end of the CIS fuel line, that goes from my fuel distributor to the WUR, has come loose (off). It is a pressure line how can I get this back on? I am thinking about heating the line, putting it together and heatingit on, OR getting it done at a hydraulic line shop. But that'll be a few days
 Will the heat shrink type idea work?????? Shawn

Shawn, I wouldn't f#%k around with fuel lines. I would either pay someone to build a high quality line, buy a new one, or buy a used one in good condition from Part Heaven.

I priced that line at a Porsche dealer. It was about $50. Making those lines requires either finding a special tool, or making the tool (there's a thread about that somewhere on here). Heating the line won't work. A hydraulic shop should be able to help.

I'm having the same trouble putting on both lines on the WUR. I put a light coat of oil on the plug so that the hose would slide on easier. It worked on one side, but that side still isn't going on all the way. The top fuel line will not go on at all over the metal lips!
 . Any suggestions?

Jim Sims and I replaced some of these lines. The Search Button is your friend. Try nylon cis as key words and look for the threads by Jim Sims.
