Yeah, my air con is gone

Well, it may be trivial to some, but this is the first real project I've done to my car and I'm excited as it has really served to start a very good familiiarization with my car. Yes, I've removed it and this is a picture of it on the way to the dump... This board gave me the confidence to perfrom this task, and I'm gaining more and more each day. Thanks.
Ed

At first I was going to sell it, but so many on this board seemed to be getting rid of them I had read it's really not worth much (I could be wrong). Also, when I bought the car I was told, the compressor was removed for access to the engine and it worked fine, but that was it. Then, when I started removing it, I noticed some of the ducting in the hood was missing (so how did it work). Also, I noticed that the line running to the (heck I don't know what it's called, but the radiator looking thing under the rear deck) was broken off. So, maybe the condensor and the compressor are okay, but I can't even guarantee that and I don't want to sell that to someone when I can't tell them it works.

Offer it for free in the Used Parts section - recipient pays shipping, would be a shame if someone needs a part you are sending to the dump, the interior pieces looked to be in nice condition.

How easy was it to remove time wise, hour, few, several hrs? Mine hasn't been running right for a while and can't wait to pull it but time is tight. Thanks for the info.

What Brandon said... Either store it (a future owner might want it), or offer it to others in need. Someone just sent me an email asking if I wanted to sell some of my A/C components that I removed some time ago...I don't, but folks are always looking. For example, even if the hoses are shot, the fittings on the ends can be reused on new barrier hoses...

I am still interested. I am collecting the parts to install at a later time. I am not worried if the compressor works or not. Just PM me a price and if I can afford it I'll take it. All you would need to do is box it, I'll take care of shipping.

I second selling/giving away on PP, buyer pays shipping. I got several pieces for mine from wonderful people on PP for free which were very much appreciated. BTW, I'm getting 29 degree air on an 85-90 degree day in Los Angeles.

On my other old car, I keep used distributor caps, rotors, points, etc. because they're only going to get rarer. IMHO, you should help preserve portions of the Marque by making them available to those who want them, whether you want them or not.

I'm interested if TurboMag were to pass on it.
