Gas is a nice milky white - Water?

OK, its a 74 911 with an 83 CIS 3.0 installed, running like a bag of crap, popping, missing, decided to drain the tank - the first few litres of fuel that came out seemed normal, but now its all a milky white colour - not transparent in the least.

Is this water in the fuel, if so, what is letting it in and what else should I clean in case its got around the system?
Help!

i'd pull the tank and inspect it..only way to be sure. not a bad idea anyway on a 32 year old fuel tank. you'll be shocked to see how much sediment has probably accumulated..your fuel filter..and future filters..will thank you for it!

You don't mention your location, but I'm guessing there has been condensation in your tank and you have gotten a gasoline/ethanol blend and the ethanol has absorbed the water. Anybody else have experience with this?

In any case, blowing out the fuel lines and changing your fuel filter would be the next place to turn.
