Race GAS plus inlet valve = this picture...
Just an FYI. Flush with pump gas before storage, or even better yet use a race gas/pump gas mix for the beneficial pump gas additives.

Was that the source of your low compression?
I don't get how "race gas" would cause that during storage. Did the valve stick to the seat?

No sticking at all. This wasn't my valve.
Race gas is known to corrode valves, and here is a great example. I'll bet mine shows the same thing.
