Center Console Delete

I'm contemplating deleting the center console with my A/C on my 3.2... I was just wondering if anybody had some clever ideas for relocating the hazard light and rear defrost buttons? Feel free to use pics to show off your handiwork!

I have thought about the same thing but then started realize where I am going to put my keys, cell phone and other stuff. If you can get the wiring right and remove the ashtray, you may be able to fabricate a control box that would fit right into the dash or even more unique but maybe difficult to reach would be the glovebox.

If you decide to rewire the switches (which would probably be a pain in the butt)...I found some really nice looking ones here...

It's hard to find good looking switches other than the classic toggle ones!

Though it's probably easier to just take the existing switches and move them somewhere else as there are a ton of wires going into the hazard flasher switch (on my 74 at least).

I'd be interested to to know how far you could stretch the factory wired switches without having to splice in new length.
