a/c compressor
hi... i have a question what other car has the same a/c compressor as the porsche thanks.
|
Depends on the year. Porshe used York and Nippondenso and possibly others.
|
I think the York was used on the Oscar Meyer Weener Mobile... :-)
|
the sanden, wobble-plate compressor is common, too...it's on mine. keep in mind that years ago, most a/c was a dealer add-on when the car came to the states..the factory didn't start installing it until much more recently. there's also a seiko compressor..it's a true rotary and more desired unit. the york is a piston and thus least efficient compressor.

DID YOU SAY OSCAR MEYER WEINER MOBILE??????????????? LOL! here goes............http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1148248477.jpg note angle of spoiler and how aware they were of weight savings . best aerodynamics we've EVER SEEN!

Now we were expecting a Disney float.

dont tempt me on the disney float! lol. my .87 cab came with nippondenso. just had to replace entire system thru lack of use, prior owner/mechanic screw-ups etc. whole thing started with installing correct carrera tail. prior mech. cut a/c line or lid hinge did. either way after new evap, new lines, new o-rings, new dryer, new compressor, fresh r-12 it now blows 37 degrees out vent. just glad i dont have to cool a weiner mobile off in this heat! please note women left of weiner mobile, staring intently upon our subject! LOL!
