Hi, I am thinking of getting a new exhaust set up for my 83 SC. I have seen this set up in Japan, I do not know who makes it. It goes for about the same price a the equivalent B&B / GHL system.
Has anyone seen this or know anything about this? Any ideas on what I should do? I have a stock system in now. Have tried a GHL 1 in 2 out muffler, but did not seem to work for me. The resonance was too much. ![]() ![]()

That looks like a nice exhaust. Do you have any sound clips?
The only problem I see is no provision for heat in the cabin. Looks to be more of a race setup.

Those are cats though, or pre-mufflers?

Hi, it is one made by a custom shop in Japan. I saw it on the Yahoo Japan Auctions. Sorry no sound clips.... recon it should sound pretty good. Might give it a shot, the cost is the only thing holding me back. A cheaper option might be an SSI with 2 in 2 out. still deciding. Any other suggestions??

Really neat system, but it looks to me like you might have some oil tank clearance issues. Unless you have a '72 model.

I'm assuming that is a race set-up, unless you live in a state where there no emissions standards.

No. It looks custom. Are you planning on running her on a track? What are your emissions requirements? You mention resonnance, have you heard this exhaust? SSI is good option for year round performance. Your muffler choice will be where you will find the need to listen to one before making a buying decision.
Good luck. Either way (unless you drive in winter, and dont choose heat option)you will like performance improvement from upgrading your exhaust. What is reason for change (is muffler change enough for what you want?). Do you seek performance improvement. Do you have a chip? Regards,

Get a set of SSI's and an M&K muffler. Then you will have great sound, fantastic heat, and the system will last forever. Used SSI's are also a good option to save some money. The B&B headers seem okay but the heat is no where near as good as with the SSI's, and the B&B mufflers are reportedly horrible. For a 3.0 motor, the B&B is unneccessary because the SSI's work well for a 3.0 liter motor. I think most people go with B&B headers because SSI's are too small for 3.2/3.4/3.6 applications.
