3.0 to Carrera intake upgrade question
 

I'm upgrading the intake on my 81sc to a Carrera intake. I am ordering the gaskets, spacers and studs, but am not sure which studs are needed? It appears that the 120mm studs would be correct, but that is a huge difference from the others.

Anyone know which studs are required?

I have the TBitz kit, awesome results. This just kicks it up a notch and looks much better then the hacked up airbox. It also adds the throttle position switch (missing from the airbox setup)

I just completed this upgrade on my 2.7X engine. I don't remember exactly how long the studs are, but I went out and measured the length of the stud above the intake port and it is 1. 25" ( approx 32mm). There is approx .75" - 1.0 " (19mm - 25.4mm)threaded into the port thread. That only adds up to 50mm-60mm or so.

I had come up with the same measurments on my current studs which does not corrospond with any of the available sizes. Most of which are 22mm - 28mm then a big jump to 120mm. It seems an extreme jump.
