window sweep removal 911 Cabriolet

I've been lurking here for over a year and have appreciated your insights and experience with the 911 - a mutual obsession.

The window sweep (the outer piece of "squeegie" rubber against the side window) on my '84 911 Cabriolet needs to be replaced. Trouble is, I have no idea how to start removing the old one. I see that the old window sweep can easily slide, but it is trapped by other parts on the door. I have removed the top inner door panel, but that doesn't seem to help.

Does anyone know how to remove that window sweep? Pics of the initial step(s) would be greatly helpful.
