Interior differences on early cars

Anybody know where I can find info on differences of interiors on early cars, or were they all the same?

I am considering a 72 T with a 69 interior installed and I'm not sure how different they are or how much that affects value?

From what I can tell, the bottom of the door panels appear to have a vertical ribbing not seen on other 72's I've seen.

thanx

joe

Joe,

I'd suggest you pick up a copy of a book by DR. B. Johnson titled "911, A Restorer's Guide to Authenticity." It's probably the most detailed book you'll find on the subject.

You'll most likely find that the switch gear on the later cars changed as a result of safety regulations. Especially the labeling. The earlier cars also had a lot more chrome. Each year going into the '70's more and more of the chrome was changed to flat black. For example I believe that 1968 was the last year for chrome on the headlight stalk, in 1969 it went black and in 1970 or 71 I think it became labeled with an headlight icon.

As far a seats and stuff, I believe that it stayed pretty much the same.
