Looking for a review for Duralast Semi-Metallic Brake Pads.
Anyone try them?
Thanks

what is it about the duralasts that's making you consider them over the Mintex recommended for street use in your other thread? Also, though not mentioned in your other thread, best to not mix pad types/brands/materials between front and rear -- if current pads are unknown, best to replace all 4 at once

I am going to replace all 4...after speaking to a Pelican specialist, who said Mintex was not recommended, I decided to buy TRW. I was then told they only make pads for the front.. so
much for that cause I don’t want to mix front and rear. I again decided to buy Mintex... out of stock! Duralast are available, that is why I wanted to get a review.... also, they are inexpensive and at a local store.

R4-S - Porterfield Brakes are what i use , great on the street and great on the track
I teach with them when I'm in my car on the track, no problems , be kind to them and they will do all you need . Brake : longer, softer , slower . There is no reason to dynamite the brakes .
I regularly hit 125 mph on the track , and 140 on the road in Mexico

Many have told me that the Stock Jurid/Textar pads are fine for street an light track use.

I agree with icarp. Porterfield R4-S or if you need a bit more try Porterfield's R4-1. Great pads. Great price. Easy on the rotors when you are abusing the hell out of them.

Don’t have them on my 911, but I used Porterfield R4Ses for years and years on one of my other cars (starting during the time when I used to do track events in it) and I found it a really good performance street pad that also did well with limited track use.

I used the Duralast on the GFs Accord V6 and they were fine for street use.

On my 911, I used the Porterfield R4S.
