Need source for used parts.
The host is an excellent source for new parts. But how about used parts, such as Fuchs, or steering wheels, I happened to be looking for those. I found a couple of places that deal with used parts, however I find their prices too high. Below is their web-site, any ideas or any other sources besides e-bay, please let me know.
Thanks http://www.dcautomotive.com/default.htm https://www.foreignintrigue.com/about.htm

Why not post an ad for "Wanted to buy" right here in the classified section?

Or you could search this board or simply do a google search on Porsche parts and you'll find several dismantlers. There's 20th St. Auto Parts in Phoenix, Mid America Motor Works, DC Automotive and many others.

Barrpete,
Have you any first-hand experience with 20th Street Auto Parts? I ordered a rebuilt DME Control Unit from them last week and was just curous, since you mentioned them. I've seen them mentioned, both here and on Rennlist, but figured it would be good to hear from someone who has dealt directly with them. Randy

I bought 4 930 calipers and 2 9 by 16 fuchs from 20th about 4 years ago for $2000. They were fine to deal with.

I was looking for names and sources outside this forum, appreciate for the feedback. Barrpete, I ran a search for Porsche auto dismantler, good hint. The companies below grasped my attention. If anybody knows anything about them please let us know.
Los Angeles Dismantler http://www.911pcar.com/ German Auto Dismantler http://www.germanautodismantlers.com/ Parts Heaven http://www.partsheaven.com/

Pipo, Do a search on those three. I can tell you personally LA Dismantler are easy to deal with just kinda pricey. And everyone seems to have good feelings for parts heaven.

No, I haven't done any business with them yet. I was looking for a new brake/seat belt indicator light lens a few months ago & as I recall they didn't have one. There are others on this board who have dealt with them and I haven't heard anything negative. Some of the Pelicans in the Phoenix area might be able to shed some more light. I ended up getting the light from Parts Heaven - $20 vs $80 for a new one. Arrived in a few days & worked fine.
