Project Update: The Good, The Bad and the Ugly
The car is set to get the suspension dialed in next week by none other than Tyson "Herr Evil" Schmidt. In preparation, it was time to button up the last few odds and ends. I reconnected the air box, tied down the post-cat O2 sensors, then gingerly lowered the car to the ground --- the first time in many months.
The Good: After disconnecting significant numbers of electrical devices, moving the DME and other potentially problematic items, I reconnected the battery and she started right up on the first click. So far, all major systems seem to be working normal! The Bad: I can no longer get my low profile floor jack under the front end with out having the wheels on 2x4's. Well, that's not all that bad. The A/C works fine, but the heater does not seem to work (RS heater tube). So I'll have to chase that down. The Ugly: Despite my attempts to set the length of the ERP links the same as the factory links I replaced, the rear has so much toe in, the car badly protests being moved. So I plan eyeball that one back to somewhat square before I tow it down to Tyson next week. After Tyson works his magic, all that's left are new pads and a bleed. Maybe I'll make the PCA event at Sears Point on the 5th?? Home stretch....
