What are antenna options?

I have an electric antenna on the front passenger side hood/fender area of my car and I would like to have it removed and filled in and painted. What are my other options for better looking antenna installs.

You could try the 1985+ Carrera in-windshield antenna. That would be expensive however, but it does eliminate the mast that you obviously don't want.

I got hold of the normal after-market windshield style antenna and stuck it to the underside of the bonnet (where the wipers come out, and then fitted a signal amplifier - works good for me, and no antenna to be seen

Hmm, that doesn't sound too bad. I know there is a company that makes invisible antennas that fit under the dashboard.

IMO, the Carrera winsdshield antenna is marginal at best. I'd go with standard glass and install a hidden antenna under the dash like those used by hotrodders. Autoloc has been mentioned here a time or two as a reputable brand.
