Gun metal Blue

What years was gunmetal blue available? and was it available for both 911's and 912's? What was the color code for this color? Thanks.

There are quite a few variations on "gun metal" blue. My 81 SC is Pacific Blue. I think in 84 they changed that name to Baltic blue. I don't have the color code handy as my car is home but I can post it later.

Aha. So, what I thought was gun-metal blue, actually went by several other names. Very interesting. Which of these various blues were on 911's and 912's in the 1970's? Where can I see chips or photos of these colors?

The pastel colors of the 356 were pretty cool in the lighter gun metal range.

Thanks everyone. Marine Blue looks darker than what I remember the color being. Petrol Blue looks close. Anyone have photos of 911's in Slate Blue or Silver Blue or Baltic Blue or Pacific Blue?
Isn't there an official list of factory colors (or paint chips) from previous years?

Wow, what a difference between the two Petrol Blue photos. One looks like gun-metal, but the other seems too dark. Any other examples out there? The 1990 paint chips are helpful. Does anyone have paint chips from earlier years?
Thanks!

Thanks everyone, for the photos and suggestions.....lots of different blues and greys that look gun-metal blue in certain light conditions. The color I remember from the 1970's had that shotgun barrel color all the time, in all light conditions. I guess my next step is to track down actual official Porsche factory paint colors from the 1970's. Any suggestions for where I can find those?
