Next to the last session of my track day at Roebling Road and I think my clutch let go...Earlier in the day I was having touble downshifting into 3rd without gnashing. Also, noticed the last couple of weeks what sounded like a noisy throwout bearing.
So, to conserve the car and learn a new, faster line I stayed in fourth. Front stretch, lift, hard brake, on the throttle and CLUNK! Nothing but free revving and hanging onto my hat...I should have the engine out tonight. Anyone know what I should expect other than spending a few $$$?

Pilot bearing? Sorry for the bad pic...
Hmmm, maybe time for a light weight pressure plate and flywheel. ![]() Before the damage.

Looks like the center of the clutch disintergrated. I will post some pictures.
Found out I already had an light weight aluminum pressure plate, just very dirty. I know everyone says to buy a new one but this one looks to be in very good shape. Am I making a mistake by reusing it? What would you do?
