28 Pin vs 24 Pin ECU
What is the difference between a 28 pin and a 24 pin ECU. I have an 89 carrera 3.2 and I bought a new ECU with the exact same part number. However, the new ECU is a 24 pin and the one I took out of my car is a 28 Pin.
What is the difference and can I use the 24 pin? Thanks, Adam |

Adam,
Send an email to Steve Wong at 911chips.com He has always been more than helpful in explaining the differences. Cheers, Paul

The 24 pins were used in the early Motronics, I believe 84-86, the 87 and 88 were 28 pin. I have a 88 Motronic in my 84, no problem.
