Rear bumper bellows install ?

I am in the process of installing a new set of rear bumper bellows on an SC and I was wondering how the rubber lip on the top of the bellows is supposed to fit under the taillight. In test fitting the new bellows, the rubber lip is too tall to fit properly under the taillight. Has anyone had to trim the top rubber lip to get the bellows to fit properly? Thanks.

Porsche Crest Bellows

Don't trim the top rubber lip. They should fit. I know I had the same problem in the past. I can take a pic so you can see how the rubber lip is installed.

Kees.

Thanks Kees and thanks JR. Do you think the wire is necessary?
