Simple Corner Balance Question

What is the suggested fuel level when corner balancing?

Wil Ferch 05-26-2006 11:55 AM

I believe this is an "open" interpretation of what is proper....

I would use 1/2 tank ....as the deviation ( toward full or toward empty)...is the "least worst"..... :)

I think a half a tank of fuel is pretty standard.

Don't forget to add weight to the driver seat to represent driver weight.

Here's a little gift factoid that I posted elsewhere on the impact of a 150 lb driver on the 4 corner weights, all assuming USA/Euro driver location...... you Brits and Japanese road drivers will want to mirror-image the numbers .. :)

========================================

Here is what adding a 150-151 lb driver does to the math, assuming his weight is in the driver's seat location. Each wheel-corner changes by this amount:

LF RF
LR RR

+62 +11
+50 +28

You can simply ratio your weight to this 151 lb weight...and get real close to what your 911 will be with your weight in it ( example : a 200 lb guy would have 200/151 of each of these values).
