Cool Porsches-2-Oxford pics.

Julie and I went to the Porsches2Oxford event over the weekend. You can find all of my photos here:

http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dougnjulie/album?.dir=f330&.src=ph&store=&prodid=&.done=http%3a//pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/dougnjulie/my_photos

Here are some highlights...

Obligitory pre-show wash (man that car leaks like a sieve!)

Julie getting us together (her handwritting is so much better than mine... )

We're parked!

...more on the way...

Thanks, it was a good day for sure! We had about 150 cars (depending on who you listened to). There was a drive later in the afternoon and a Sunday morning drive, but we did not participate in either (see my thread on "why do my brakes squeek" for explanation.. ). We'll be better prepared next year so we can take advantage of more of the festivities!

What color is your brown 911 ? mine looks similar but it's a repaint and I did not think it was a real color !! I guess I might have been wrong, which is great !

Mine was repainted too. It was originally "light ivory". I found records indicating it was painted in the 80s...around '86. I'll be honest, it's my least favorite part about the car. I'd love to have just about any other color.

Someday, when I have money, we'll take her back to the original color....

Rob, I grew up in Whitehouse (70's) then Neapolis (80's). I am an '84 graduate of Anthony Wayne High School. I was in the 983rd Army Reserve unit in the mid/late 80's. Youre name does not ring a bell so I assume you are a bit younger? Be careful over there!

Greg, that really does look very close to the color of my car! I'm sorry I can't help you! My records do not show a paint color or code. I'm going to have to have some work done myself, but I'll pay a body shop to computer match what I've got until I can have the whole thing repainted. I DO think it's a Porsche color, but probably one from another year?

Here's another pic, just for fun.

Doug,

Tell me more about this event. I went to Miami University in Oxford (beautiful town) and was just there on business and vacation. We are currently trying to move back to that part of the country and would love to attend the next one.

Great, Now I'm craving some Bruno's Pizza.
