G50 Trans Experts Advice Needed
The G50/03 trans has a sprung loaded pin on the front case with 3 complementary notches in the selector shaft. Im presuming these are to help define gear positions. The 87 - 89 G50's dont have this on the front casing and there doesnt seem to be anything similar anywhere else on the trans from looking at the part schematics. Is it a big issue to ditch these from the G50/03? The trans seems to shift into all gears fine without it.
Thanks Steve
