First Post - Ride Ht-Wheel-Tire Size Help!
First post in about 4 years here....had a 71 911T Targa back then, just picked up a 74 911S Targa down in VA yesterday...great drive back to MD, took the long way. Anyway, tried an extensive search last night on the old and abused topic of wheel and tire sizes. This is what the car has now: 15x6 & 7 Fuchs running Kumho Ecsta V700 225/45R15. Great tires but not for daily street driving! The car is lowered quite a bit also which is another concern of using the 7's on the rear with a taller tire. The V700's have a diameter of 22.25" (estimate) and looking at the rear, not much of anything taller is going to fit. Don't want to stay with such a short sidewall tire for daily use. I'm thinking my options are to switch the rears to a 6" and go with a 195/60-15 all around. Any suggestions, comments or opinions more than welcome.
Thanks guys. Kirk I'll get some pics posted soon.

All Porsche "stock" tires right from the 356 on-up...had overall tire diameters of 24.9-25" or so.
195/60-15 calculates out to 24.21 "...... if you don't want to ( or can't) go bigger than 22.25"..this obviously won't do. What are your fender lip height measurements from ground? - Wil
