Is it a big job to install a torsen diff in a g50 ?

I just got the rest of my needed clutch items to install my C2 turbo engine and shortened G50 box in my 82` .
Question is how hard is it to install and set backlash/preload.
Ive done plenty of american musle cars diffs and know how to set them up but on the g50 you cant access the gears to check the tolerances.
For what its worth I have a rare and from what I understand , desireable type torque sensing diff. Its a factory 968 type Zexol unit.
Also should I just install the drivetrain and see how it goes without the posi traction ? I will be running drag radials on the car and it may hook up without the posi.

Anybody have any input for me ? Im really itching to get this setup rolling asap.

BTW I am aware that I will need to buy new carrier bearings first.

A few comments:

The Zexel Torsen is the only torque-biasing diff ever factory-installed into a production model, and *should* be very close to measuring the same as the standard open diff.

While you don't come out and say it, it sounds as though this is a dragrace application. It should be noted that while in theory the torque-biasing diff would be pretty ideal for this (lock-up on acceleration, freewheeling in the pits), in practice the TBD has a habit of doing a little "side-step" during launch. This is the moment that it takes for the planetary gears to lock up. For dragrace-dedicated cars, most guys opt for a spool. It's also worth pointing out that the stabilizing (locking) factor of spools and LSDs in off-throttle conditions have been known to help in hairy situations on the drag strip.

Regarding set-up, it could take an experienced mechanic a great deal of time on the keyboard to lead someone through proper set-up if the pupil hasn't bothered to consult a factory manual first. It's so much easier if specific questions are presented, rather than a request to "lead me through it". Hope you can understand this --
