signs of a previously wrecked car
I am looking at a 1978 911 sc. When I took the spare out, around the lower left edge of the well where the spare is kept and along the surface where the tire tread would be there is an area about 6 inches long where a welding patch exists. Is there any other explanation for this other than it was wrecked? The car drove straight and stopped straight, but it did have a repaint.

Could have been a repaired rusty area. A picture would help for sure.
