Rim problem

I made a real hash out of my rim this morning. I absent-mindedly hit the curb with my right rear wheel. The rim is one of those chrome plated "turbo-twist" rims. Can it be polished out, or is it a write off? Would the entire rim have to be replated?

Thanks in advance!

will have to be replated...and not sure i would want to plate it twice...seems that I have read where that weakens the wheel....it would make a nice hose reel....at least that is what my brother did with his bent wheel....

Chrome would need to be removed, ugly process...then the rim would be repaired, and then plated. Your better off locating a replacement...
