fender to cowl seal sizes

I need to order these seals. Which size do I want, 4.3mm or 6.5mm?
Why are there different sizes? I guessing this measurement is top to bottom.
This is for a 80 coupe.

The measurement is actually the width of the seal, not the depth. The thinner one was originally for non-Turbo models. That said, I went with the 6.5 mm on my non-turbo 85 Targa. Looks fine.

If you haven't, do a search - lots of info on replacing these.

Thanks, I'll give the 4mm a shot. Putting them on will be easy as my fenders are completely off.
