Hard to get Bosch (Euro/US) lenses...any interest?

I recently purchased a replacement lens for one of my MB SL Euro headlights. The $56 lens beat the heck out of the $250 cost for the entire headlight assembly. I didn't know this option existed until I received a tip from a fellow SL owner.

Question: Are there any lenses that us Porsche guys need as an alternative to buying the complete (expensive) headlight, driving, fog, tail, marker or rally light?

Suggestions will be forwarded to the importer. If there's a market perhaps Pelican can work a deal and offer them.

How about the 69-73 front 911 turn signal lenses?

Is it Euro? Hard to get? I'll put any of the hard to get stuff on a list and forward.

Any numbers/markings on the lense may help if possible.

Rick,

The Euro lenses are different from the US flavour. Not really hard to get but lots more expensive. Would be nice to get a descent price and good to find new suppliers for any parts!

Thx,

JoeA

OK Joe. The US 69-73 front 911 turn signal lenses will go on the list. Do you have a part # by any chance?

I don't want to eclipse Wayne/Pelican by offering alternatives to existing products. Rather to source the hard to get lenses. The ones that are Euro only or typically come in a complete assembly. Of course if there is a savings for Pelican that would be cool too.

How about the 911 headlight lenses? Are some of those hard to get or ultra expensive?

Rick,

Do not have a part number right now.

Also you might want to see about the headlight lenses for the H-1 lights. They were available at one time but not sure if they are still around these days. Problem is that there are not a whole lot of guys with them on their cars so this would not be a large volumn situation.

Joe, Thanks for your input. I'll put the H-1 lens on the list ...can't hurt.

Other suggestions welcome. Also, help with part numbers would be appreciated.

FWIW, I stand to make nothing from this relationship. Merely want to broaden the availability of parts.

I know you said Bosch, but can your source get replacement lenses for the Hella 118 fog lights, aka thru the grill fog lights?

I'd also like to see the silver-trimmed US and Euro rear taillight lenses for 911s, as well as the black-trimmed rear Euro taillight lenses. All are available special-order and very expensive. Direct import might be able to help on availability and pricing.

I'll inquire on the Hella 118 fog lights.

Please try to give car years, model #s and/or part numbers. Pics would help also.

After a list is compiled I'll submit.

Porsche Crest

The yellow Bosch H1 [French] lenses would be appreciated here, too!

I think Pelican still has the clear lenses ... I got a set of spares in 2003!
