2.7 updated chain wheel support - what to look for

Hi,

How do I know if a 2.7 ('77 911S) has the updated timing chain wheel support?

Photo's would be great!

Thx much!

Al S

Pull the cover and look. You'll be able to see if it has the spacer or the wider Carrera idler arms/ sprocket support.

Wayne's 911 Rebuild book on p159 has explain and pics.

Al-

Hope that helps. Like Ronin said, you'll have a spacer on the big shaft that is the same material as the tensioner (bright silver) and about 3/8"-1/2" wide.
