Anti-roll bars (or sway bars)
Can anyone advise me if the stock sway bars on my 1975 2.7 Carrera (20mm front/18mm rear) can be swapped for thicker ones from a later Turbo (eg 22mm front/20mm rear)? Are the pick up points on the body identical? Is going up a further 2mm on front and rear too much (when used in conjunction with Bilstein Sports inserts/rear shockers and stiffer or thicker front and rear torsion bars)?
Car is to be used for classic rallies - mainly tarmac but some broken surface/ gravel tracks |

The 86 - 89 Carrera bars were 22/21's and bolt up easy. I had them on my SCarrera before I went to the adjustables. A great low cost upgrade.
They appear on the classified page once in a while. Also check EBay, I found my rear for $25 !

The drop link attachment on the rear changed in 1978 from a ball socket to a bolt. The front remained the same from 1974 to 1989( I think)
