Where do you get the giant fenders to corner balance you car from, does it matter if your corner balancer isn't the same color as your car?

DARISC 06-05-2006 01:56 AM

I'm an admitted newbie who's really trying to learn. I just recently investigated several threads dealing with corner balancing because I'd never run across the term until buying my Porsche. I thought I was beginning to understand.

Now I'm really confused. You appear to be using 1:43 scale. Will 1:18 scale work also?

Please have patience - remember, ther's no such thing as dumb questions, just dumb people.

Thank you?

cool pic!

1:18 will work, but you have to multiply all the weights by the square root of 18, or 4.2426406 to get the correct correlation.
I think

Won't work. The driver is not in the 1:43.

no way thats 1/43 - more like 1/72 or 1/76 - now your really going to be off.

that wont work as it has live axles and the real cars dont, so what happens is a thing called "scale effect" which cause real big problems in small places....I would go at least 1/25 scale ...but the rear corners Will be harder ...as you will have to build jigs and subtract the weight ect ect.It might be ezr to install a new "hover gasket" with the gyro in put made from graphite rather then Kevlar..its the new and most trick thing

DARISC 06-05-2006 12:10 PM

If I decide to try this myself, who sells 1/25 scales at a good price?

Don't nobody start fun'in me now and tell me I also need one for the spare - I'm dumber than I look!

afterburn 549 06-05-2006 12:13 PM

Ebay of course is a good place to start..but if if you can up with your factory color number I might have 4 left here....they are Purue red...rare I know....but I will make you agood deal !

DARISC 06-05-2006 12:29 PM

Good to know! I may be contacting you.

Couple of questions - I can dance a jig, you think I can build one,? don't have any gyros, will a sub or BLT suffice?, what is "weight ect ect"?, etc.

afterburn 549 06-05-2006 12:37 PM

well, dose not matter if you have ect or etc one is made by on eno and the other maerd, but the jig part is important and usually has to be sq. to the 2 power depends if the blt is include in the gyro or not .Dance ? what are you joking?? lets keep this serious ok ?
