Oil Leaks

I have an 82 911SC with an oil leak in the crank area--probably the no.8 nose bearing. Oil leaks only when the engine is warm. Tried some re-seal(stop-leak) oil additive, but this doesn't seem to have much effect.

Wayne Dempsey's 101 Projects book talks about oil leaks in the pulley seal area (p.67, fig.11), but it isn't clear if the engine has to be dropped and split to reseal or replace the bearing.
Can you clarify? I don't drive this car much (<2000 miles/yr),
so repair will depend on cost (estimate?)
thanks.

If you Positivley Id it as the end bearing...this worked for me...slam/force jb weld into it (after much wash dwn with you favorit brake clean) you have to force it into it,then 3m 5200 on top
