Enjoyable modification
 

Adding this 930s steering wheel to my 88 Carrera has been the single most enjoyable mod to my car. The car has a completely different "feel"

What single mod has made the most impact on your car?

Drilled rotors
Braided brake lines
Prototipo steering wheel
Cocoa mats
Turbo tie rods
Lowered ride height
Cat bypass

A good racing seat and harness made a real difference. Once held in the seat properly I lost the death grip on the wheel and could relax and drive.

man she would kill me! but on upcoming "warp speed tour" will snag some w/car. dont want to piss her off before 2500 mile trip! but it really has been best modification. she doesnt care how much i spend on it! and that is 180 degrees from the "OLD MODEL" that i upgraded from! LOL! mid life crisis? what me worry??? crisis what crisis?

For me it was the paint, wheels, suspension, glass, rubbers, and motor...After replacing my rims I almost felt content. Still have lots of work to do but being in Iraq only adds money to the bank and there is no way for it to fix itself...but she is waiting on me unless my wife gave up the keys to "Jody"....

The single best mod was not to my car, it was to me...learning how to drive her HARD! I do enjoy the 930S wheel, harnesses, seats etc...

funny you should say that...somewhere I have the lockheed "skunkworks" logos. I was going to put them in place of the mobil pegasus, like you see on old racers.

atlporsche make some copies of those skunk werks stickers. would love a pair!!!! used to work at HOLLOMON AFB and NELLIS AFB w/the F-117's. you would sell a bunch!

Alright Don where did you get the "3.2" decal for your ducktail? I gotta have one of those.

Seine shift kit..........gotta be able to find the gears first before you can do anything fun with the car, you know.:)

I bought it on-line through ebay. A company in California sells them. Just log on to Ebay and do a search for 930s steering wheels and it'll come right up.

VROOOOOOM VROOOOOM is GOOD! very very good! and cheap in the big picture. remember modify suspension first. then if you decide on mongo motor from hell, the suspension can handle added pony power! my buddies built beautiful porsche 911 SCORE car for the 1 unlimited class. which is basically throw the bank at it class. unlimited mtr/tranny/suspension etc.. well they did throw the bank at the engine and the end result was lots of DNF's because of suspension failures. wayyyyy tooooooooo much pony power for suspension.

Cat by-pass (and I don't mean heart surgery for my feline) and GHL exhaust.

Best mod..Hmmm. a Tune up.

Changing back to the original four spoke wheel. :D

Seriously, single most worth while change was the shocks. No question!

Could change this weekend - planning on doing the shift bushings and coupler.

Oh, and have a few cold ones while bleeding the brakes in good ol´gravitation style! ;)
