Who polishes fuchs?

Looking at Bobby Smiths RS spec 73. I love the red interior, with the silver exterior. Can't stand the blacked Fuchs. So if I get the car i will get them polished up. Who do you guys recommend on an exchange program?

There are threads on doing it yourself if you have the patience. Search, but Al Reed can probably do it as well, search if you need his contact info.

East coast is preferred since transport and time to ship would be issues.

I think Jason Cullen here on the board will sell you polished Fuchs and take yours in as "cores" for credit. Do a search for him here. No personal experience, but supposedly he's a good guy.

If you want your own wheels polished, Al Reed is "da man."

Alex Magro in Tampa Fl. does great work he has posted on Pelican in the past. I purchased polished 8 inch Fuchs from him they were beautiful.

There really ought to be somebody in New England. If not, and you only need a polish, then you have a choice of shipping to FL or the midwest - dunno which is cheaper.

Jason Cullen is, I believe, the subject of the currently active thread where is castigated for being a flipper/overly aggressive, whatever.

In Calif., you have a shoice of Al Reed (SoCal) or Harvey Weidmann (NoCal). AR is very good, I would say that HW is better, at the "win the concours" xlnt. level. There is a thread on Early 911S bbs comparing them. AR raised his prices but is still a bit cheaper than HW who also takes longer. I don't know if it would matter at all for just a shiny polish. If you want an RSR finish or a satin finish it might make a difference to you.

So, "that all we know, so far." to quote P AG...

FWIW, Alex is using an outdated wheel weight chart from my web site for use on his. This is the most current chart with the latest data and links.
