3 porsche race cars out back of my hotel room!
bummer of a week...pulled my stuck 2.7 engine and figure it has a dropped exhaust valve, got a speeding ticket tonight in western pennsy, but all was forgotten when i checked into a dumpy holiday inn, opened the drapes in my room, and saw a 911, and 2 944's on trailers. i ran down to have a closer look, and the 911 pilot was there, so we talked porsche for a good 1/2 hour. i guess even a 911 owner could feel like a 2nd class citizen when your 911 has "only" 240-ish HP, the 944T is pushing 300+, and the other one has a 500HP chevy.
great way to forget about my conversation with state trooper roy, and my $100+ fine. but now i want to build a track car... joe |

come on..........! even i had fun at holiday inns. KEITH MOON taught me how!!! LOL! the best one was in laguna niguel, calif. had to go over for corp. meeting about every 6 weeks. same people, same food, same everything. bar was the same. band was the same and getting crappier every trip. what was so funny was the same faces in bar. after getting stuck their a few times w/co-workers, struck up a few conversations w/male and females. found out they LIVED THERE AND THIS WAS THEIR BIG NIGHT OUT ON THE TOWN! we were rolling on the floor. I HAVE NEVER GONE TO A HOLIDAY INN HERE IN PHX> FOR SOMETHING TO DO!!!!! now that was something we really couldnt comprehend. someone should write a book about the holiday inn SUB-CULTURE! man when i go to a holiday inn for a night out on the town..................SHOOT ME! enjoy your stay, grab a bunch of beer, porsche mags and call out for a gourmet pizza and slam it on your expense acct.
