Cranckcase breather hose came loose

Hi All, I believe my cranckcase breather hose pulled loose from the top of the engine, I stuck my hand behind the AFM and down low and found a breather type hose completely disconected. It is about 5/8 outside diameter fiber outer casing and runns towards the drivers side towards the top into the firewall. I do have a leak that emminates from the oil cooler area of the bottom towards the front (flywheel) area, is this dangerous to the engine with line disconected, would I be able to reconnect the line without removing the injection system? Advice please, thanks, John

Johnny,

It is likely the breather hose. If you remove the air filter housing, AFM, and rubber boot from the throttle body, that should give you enough space to see what's going on in there,

Isn't the crankcase breather hose a much larger (1") rubber hose that runs from the back of the engine to the oil filler tube? What John is describing sounds like the line that runs from the fuel expansion tank in the left front fender to the charcoal cannister in the right rear fender. This is fiber wrapped and passes thru the firewall on the drivers side and thru the rear inner fender on the passenger side just below the filler tube. The crankcase is indirectly vented via the Oil tank breather hose which is fiber wrapped and connects to the back of the air cleaner. The oil tank breather hose is also closer to 3/4" OD whereas the fuel vapour hose is 3/8".
