PERMATUNE CD VS MSD ????

I have done some research about this and have decided they are about equal. The MSD has the advantage of multiple sparks but only at low RPMs. The Permatune requires no wiring modifications. Has anyone tested both CD ignitions and noticed a MAJOR difference?

Somebody out there must know something! Any info will be of help.

Dave, got your e-mail but I don't know anything about the permatune unit...I use my MSD as a stand-alone ignition...I replaced a faulty CDI unit with it...never had any problems...I know a couple of people with race cars that use it and I have a friend that has the Crane hi-6(?) unit that seems to work well...all of the above use the after-market ignitions alone...

Do the time warp! Interesting to reply to a 20 yo thread!

Also very cool that the archives go back that far.
