				911 CLUTCH

I have a 70 911 that has not been driven for almost a year. When I started it I could not get the car into 1st. I read in a manual that the clutch disc can stick to the transmission spline. Does anyone know how to free it up without removing the engine and transmission?

The flex boot on the tail of the tranny also needs replacing. Can this be replaced without removing said transmission? |

Hmm, you can check to see if the clutch is stuck by placing the car (with a lot of room around you) in a spot where you can put it in first, push the clutch in, and then try to start the car. Make sure that you have your foot on the brake, and also the ignition key. If the car moves forward with the clutch in, then you may have a bad cable, or bad adjustment, or a stuck disc. I don't think that it's too common for the disc to get stuck, but then again, stranger things have happened...
