911 fresh air blower proublem
1979 911 coupe.
my resh air blower is not workinking. All the leads from the switch to the blower seem ok but I get no power.I applied direct 12v power to the blower (after disconting the four post pron) and nothing happened. I went from what I thought was the ground position at the blower (in relation with th blk wire position from the plug) grounded it applied 12v and nothing happened. This really suprised me. Is there a relay I"am missing. Does anyone know the color code of the hot wire from the blower to the fuse box?Any clues would be appreaciated. |

If you applied direct 12VDC to the plug at the blower and nothing happened I would assume you have a bad blower motor. I've never messed with the fresh air blower in the front luggage compartment, but I've had problems with heater blower @ engine compartment. I applied 12VDC to the motor. Once I knew the motor worked I traced the wires. Tough job! I found a bent contact at the heater levers next to the hand brake (82 911SC). Bent them back... it works fine now.
