Any thoughts on these Ebay seats?
Are these just complete junk or what? The price is awsome, but you get what you pay for.
Could they be an inexpesive way to some 'OK' seats? Has anyone tried these yet? Paul

These seats look similar to the ones that I bought from Summitt Racing a while back. They are probably made in China and you will find that the seat backs have a little bit of "play" when locked in place. The upholstery (on my seats) is vinyl but sewn to look like leather. You will have to fab mounts for the sliders. I was able to hang some mounts under the stock mounts and get enough head room (I'm about 6'-1" tall) in my coupe. I guess the bottom line is they will likely be "ok" quality and will take some work to mount. Hope this helps.

Pep Boy sells similar seats. Local pick up means you don't have to pay for shipping.

Those seats were installed by the PO of my car.
They are flimsy, cheap and uncomfortable. They are the next thing on my car to go along with the two tone interior panels. Maybe someone would want them to put in a go-kart or for a video game seat or something? I will be giving them away to the first local person that wants them. They have no place in a 911 ![]()

my buddy had these seats in his mustand cobra and he changed them every 4 months, since the metal gear that holds the back always failed, once i set with him in the car and he launched super fast and fell down, it was funny at first but good thing i was sitting next to him to take over steering. They really suck my .02 cents

Pkaaso,
I just went through a long process of looking for and finally buying seats. Iwanted sport seats but also ones that looked like they belong in the car. I asked the guys here and pretty much all recommended the manual 911 sport seats. I got mine for 600 bucks! And they are pretty darn nice too. But, your right, you find guys wanting to sell these things for a mint. Best advice I have is this - 1. Wait, wait, wait - till a deal comes along that your gut tells you is ok. And 2. Go see the seats before you buy them. I know its hard, but really, what is nice to one person, may not be nice to you. I did these two things and got the seats I wanted at a fair price. Mike |
