Windshield stone chip repair
What's the best way to repair a couple of bullseye chips, situated low on the windshield? Sizewise it's about a nickel (or less).

Call a local windshield repair shop. If the chips are not in the driver;s line of sight, they can fill them and stop them from spreading. If they are not repairable, you will need to get a new windshield.

I was thinking more in terms of a 'safety glass repair kit', how easy/hard it is to use the kit effectively, etc.

It's worth a shot. You probably can't make them any worse. I think Eastwood sells a kit like this.

Local glass repair is fairly cheap and you know that it will be done right. If you glass is old and original, its probably brittle and you will need to get a new windshield cause 1) the cracks will spread and 2) they happen easier on brittle glass.
On another note: there is an unwritten rule around here that newbies need to post a pic of their ride. :0)
