Got the inner rocker fitted today, it's starting to look whole again.
filled some holes near the rear fender support. small patch at the front to weld in tomorrow. And I'm still looking for a bottom A-pillar cut so at least i can make a pattern to replace my nonexistent one. ![]() For those that have used Restoration and Design panels did you have fitting problems with the jack tube support. I can't seem to get it to fit snug against the inner rocker?

Oh man....That brings back some bad memories, not too long ago either.
I cringe when I see that area on the car. To answer your questions on fit quality.... I had a he11 of a time fiting everything I bought from RD. RD's lock post fit sucked big time . I had a fellow pelican send me a OEM lock post for the drivers side and it fit beautifully no messing around but the passenger side was a serious PITA. What made it so hard for me is that they give you probably 1/4 inch too much material so I found myself constantly sculpturing the panels with my air hammer getting it to fit tight. I bought from RD because I was under the impression that they made all there repair panels.... I couldn't be more wrong. A huge % of the stuff he sells comes in from Denmark. I will get you a few pics later |

Your probably a better repair guy than me but one trick I used with every panel
I put on was that I would get a rough fit .... Then I would screw it in place. As I would spot weld it I would the snug everything up with my air hammer with a dull chisel bit. My front pan job was even worse..... It was as if the panel was made for another car. If it wasn't for my air hammer the finished product would not look very nice AT ALL. I suck at body work maybe thats the problem heh,heh I hope you have better luck |

No this is my first time, had to teach myself to weld just taking every thing slow and having fun.
Once i finish the rockers i've got the fron pan to do and that's it i hope.
