Using LM-1 on MFI
Looking at the LM-1 wideband A/F meter sold on Pelican for my MFI car. Trouble is it reads A/F ratio. CMA talks about CO readings so if I bought one I would be a bit confused as to how to interpret the readings. Can anybody help.........
Thanks in anticipation. |
CMA was when the car was new. These days you remember 5-6-7-8, which is 5-6% at idle or 12.6:1 to 7-8% at 3000 rpm or about 10.8:1. That's pretty darn fat if you ask me, but it's what seems to make the car run right.
There is very little chance of making it run as lean as CMA says with the same throttle response and transition but I don't wish to discourage you from trying. Check this link for the CO/AFR conversion. http://www.perfectpower.com/technical_info/afr.asp YOU can help us by making note of your findings! Good luck! |
