FREE track day - Altamont raceway!

ROAD RACERS and DRIFTERS! FREE TEST DAY at ALTAMONT RACEWAY PARK on the 1.1 mile ROAD COURSE / Drifting track. SATURDAY JUNE 24th 9:00AM TO 9:00PM. Yes, you can test under the lights! TESTING IS OPEN ON THE 1.1 MILE ROAD COURSE (we will offer different road course options during the day) JUST 20 MINUTES from TRACY or PLEASANTON, 30 to 45 MINUTES from the EAST BAY AREA, 1 HOUR from SAN JOSE, MOUNTAIN VIEW. Altamont Motorsports Park is hosting a FREE road course test day on Saturday, 24 June. The 1.1-mile road course and its multiple variations will be available for open testing, running the track forwards, backwards and with a few twists. Altamont Motorsports Park is eager to get drivers' feedback on which course configurations are preferred or which are the most challenging. This free test day is offered in preparation of sanctioned road course events to be held later this year. Altamont Motorsports Park's management will even open up the 1/2-mile oval for those road racers who want to see what all the left-turn excitement is about! Required NASCAR, SCCA, NASA or other recognized competition license All drivers, crews and guests to sign standard waivers Cars must have a current log book and be "race prepared," with roll-bar or cage (vintage and drift cars welcome), harness, fire bottle and all appropriate driver gear. Drifters to have a valid State driver's license, Snell-approved or comparable helmet (to be inspected and judged track-worthy by AMP staff), and all drift cars must have seatbelts or harnesses Schedule 9:00 AM Track opens 10:00 AM Drivers Meeting 10:15 AM Cars on-Track (30-minute rotating sessions, based on classes of cars in attendance) 12:30 PM LUNCH BREAK 5:30 PM DINNER BREAK 9:00 PM Track closes Experience the difference of driving "under-the-lights." You DO NOT have to do a 3-hour tow and spend $$ for hotel accommodations... just hold your track tests and events at Altamont Motorsports Park go to www.altamontracing.com for driving instructions and an update of the ALL NEW ALTAMONT RACEWAY. Track time will be divided by run groups in a 20-30 minute sessions.
