Where is Porsche in LMP2 @ Lemans???
I thought they were going to run the new car in LMP2. I dont see the car in any of the preview shows. Are they not running due to issues with the car? Does anyone know anything?

It was never planned to be run at Lemans. It was made to compete in ALMS .

It has been well documented over the past year and a half that Porsche and Penske had no intentions of taking the cars to Le Mans in '06. Don't look for a factory entry in '07 either. Sounds like it will have to be a customer team with either the ex-Penske cars chassis 02 or 03; or a new late '06 built chassis in '07.

I thought it would be natural to run Lemans as many of the others do....Oh well whats another few years

Seems like another step away from Ferdinand and Ferry when Porsche doesn't persue a factory team in the top classes at Le Mans.
