Phase ONE of the track machine..

Drop motor Fix Tranny and pull parts off to have it repainted WHITE.
Redo all suspension and other tid bits.
I'll post more as i get her done.

Won't be as sweet as GeorgeK or Danes 911's but she'll be alright and able to hold her own on the Big tracks.

eric you may want to support your axles if you're not pulling them out, wire or rope will do the trick.
i've destroyed a few axles by letting them dangle like that.

nice work

I'll be able to handle it... just keep plugging and she may be down for a year.. but then she'll be back out on the track where she belongs and on the street atking me to work. hahaa
This is the look I am going for .

along with a few other things I have planned.. it's going to be the Clubsport 911 I have always wanted....

Eric..

Dangerous Working Conditions Alert!!!!!

There is a high probability that this Beer may get kicked over. Some may consider placing on the toolbox, but the following picture is the 'hot setup'...

looking good!

George,
Not to hijack this thread, but when did you move to Montreal? I seem to remember Switzerland?

Hijack on:
The move to Montreal is for one year and is the best professional move of my career. I miss home like crazy, left *all* my toys behind. If it wasn't for my wife, I'd be crazy by now.

Hijack off: Eric, you'll belong to the closed Elite Club of those who have taken their car totally apart to see it reborn a potent track weapon. It'll be hard but you'll be proud.

Cheers

George:
You always find the nicest Porsche 911 archive pics; where did you find the lime green pic? I never tire seeing that tail, no mater what Porsche brings out with the 996 & 997, it doesn't seem to replicate the look shown with the lime green car. 30 years later the car still looks amazing.
j.p.

Eric:
Do you plan on connecting the cage to the engine bay frame area?
j.p.

Holy crap Eric...when you said two year plan, I didn't think you'd strip the car so fast!

Excellent work brother...glad to see you working in a garage too. I remember the drafty shed you had years ago LOL...

That tail on the lime green car is the early 3.0 non intercooled turbo tail.
One of my favourites....

Cheers

Impressive!

I am such a wimp when it comes to raising the car on stands. The hight you are displaying would give me a heart attack. I get chills just watching the picture.

We do share the same RS badge on the rear lid though...
