Where to get 345/35/15 tires

Does anyone know where I can get 345/35/15 tires. Currently I have Yokohama and one of them is cracking. Tirerack.com will not have till Sep.30, which is to late for me. I am not in a positon to go on bigger rims.

I appreciate your comments or advise.

Thank you .

I am not to far from you guys. I live in RI but sometimes work in MA and in NY. So, I can pick up the tires in CT or MA.

I have BBS 15in rims. Currently I have 345/35/15 on them.

So, anyone of you have them?

You may want to post on a Lamborghini board too. The Countach uses the same size. I use Pirelli's that are the same size rears on my DP935 also and they are getting a little hard to get now because the don't make a run very often. I don't have any extras right now. Pirelli is the other company that makes them. Goodluck on your search.

You may want to go here:

http://hem.passagen.se/hemipanter/

and see what this fellow did for his Pantera. I was researching tire availability way back when I had a set of 9s and found the Pantera community very helpful.

Do you know what width your wheels are?

I have a friend that just had 10.5 x 15s made for him. the 245 Dunlop available fits, but not really. A 345 may be too wide.

Shaun84Targa,

I don't have a problem using 345. That's what I have now. I did get a replacement pair from one of the pelicante, but one of them is cracking. I see a lot of PO getting rid off 15in wheels and go with 16th or higher. I do not want right now spend 2 or 3k for rims.

Jake do you have a pair by any chance?

Thanks.

michelin have their TB15/TB5 range. they are a re introduced tarmac rally tire from yesteryear. the tb15/5 comes in 335/35/15. i bought a pair of 295/40/15's for my 11x15 fuchs. the 335/35/15 tend to hang off the rim a little too much

What is L246 in US$$ ? What is shipping to the US?

Yokohama 345s are 3/4" wider than Pirelli 345s. Take a look at the picture below, you can see the Pirelli is 12.75" wide and the Yokohama is 13.5" wide. Something to consider.

What is Yokohama selling the 345 for these days (when they are produced)? What is the Pirelli 345 selling for?

Wow, now I got few choices.

Andy and gunba thanks for the links.

RarlyL8, tirerack has pirellies for $336 and Yokohama is no longer carry them. What's your price? I see you are pricing your tires. Let me know if you want to amke a deal. I can make a research on the shipping.

Thanks.

I have a never-mounted set of Yokos (one is pictured above by the Pirelli) that were supposed to replace my worn out tires. Problem is they no longer make the 255/45-15s I used up front. The closest I can get is 245/50-15 made by another manufacturer. These tires have been stored in black garbage bags in my dark garage for a few years. They look and feel brand new. I have no idea what they are worth or what they would cost to replace. I think I paid around $300 each for them new.
I would sell them if they are worth a decent amount of money, that way it won't be so painfull when I find repacements sometime down the road.

RarlyL8,

I do understand that two years ago you paid $300 each. Tell me exactly what do you want for them. I want to make sure you are happy as well as I am.

Thanks

I didn't see the Pirelli's listed on tirerack, where were they listed? I heard Yokohama makes a batch of tires once a year. Don't know if they do this.

How do you make that lera (sp) sign on the keyboard?

The tires are more than 2 years old. I bought them just before I moved to AL and that was 3 years ago. So to be on the safe side I would say they are nearly 4 years old.

I've been hanging on to these tires because they are hard to come by - but the clock is ticking for them. Rubber doesn't last forever. The last set was on my (street) car for about 7 years. They wore out at just about the same time as the rubber started to harden and loose it's road gripping abilities.

So how about 1/2 price. $300 plus shipping for the pair. The only stipulation is you have to post a picture of your car here so we can see where these bad boys are going.

After you mount the tires put about 100 miles on them to wear off the slippery material that coats new tires. If at that point the rubber seems hard to you and the grip is not what it should be you can return them to me (undamaged of course) and I will refund your $300. The tires look and feel good to me but that could all change when they are actually on the car.

Here's a pic of the last set of Yokos (on year 7). They were awesome tires. I'll take and post pictures of the stored set today after I get them out of the bags.

I think it is a fair offer.
The tires are nearly 4 years old so they cannot be sold as new. Rubber deteriorates with time - even though they were stored properly.

You guys on Pelican have been very very good to me. People I have never met send me odds and ends FOR FREE. I get e-mails all the time from folks who have spotted something I am looking for. Keeping this Hobie within my financial means is not an easy thing to do. The PP board and this network make that possible for me and I appreciate it.

Here are the latest pix. These tires have obviously never been mounted. I will clean them up and package them for shipment as soon as the sale is confirmed.
