Needing clutch orientation

I recently adquired a 1985 Cabriolet with 36 k miles. Compared to other European (Audi 4000 and Renault) and Japanese cars ( Acura Integra) that I owned, the 911 clutch on this car is much stiffer and needs to be pressed deeper to work properly. I had the clutch cable adjusted but still feels more stiff than the previously mentioned cars. Is this normal of 911's?

Please more experienced Porsche owners provide me with your comments and/or suggestions about my particular case.

Alberto
