Porsche Crest 1973 911t Targa

Hey, I am new to the forum and to 911 ownership. I bought my first 911 a month ago and had it delivered to my garage last week. I am working on it myself and I just got it up on Jack stands today. It is going ot take a lot of work, it has been in storage since 1984. It is in amazing shape though, only 40,000 miles. The silver paint needs some work, but mechanicaly it looks pretty good. I am starting on the brakes, I have to bleed them and I am trying my hand at rebuilding the callipers and replacing the brake pads. Anyhow, I will get a few photos of the car up here soon, so you guys can check it out.
peace

Photo's would be great, is this a MFI or CIS injected '73? Your fuel system and brakes will be your most urgent issues......

It is MFI, yeah, brakes and fuel system are in need of attention. I just put a few gallons of gasoline in the tank, will let it sit for a couple of days. I heard that will break up the "varnish". What do you suggest I do to clean out the fuel system?

Things are moving along, i have the fuel tank cleaned and lined. the fuel lines are in, putting new spark plugs in her tonight. Hopefully I wil be able to fire her up soon. Amy advice about fuel filters? Or anything else I should do before I get the car started? I changes the oil already, got new batteries. lubed up the throddle. I still have to rebuild the calipers and replace the master cylinder. I have it ordered, should be heare soon, new tires are on the wheels.
