Grand Am Candy
Mid Ohio School day prior to the Grand Am weekend led to an interesting paddock. First here's my rig in the thick of it.

Great shots
Looks like fun! How was the weather and more importantly how did your car perform after your wiring ?

Poured through noon. Car never came off the trailer.
I ran their Acura all day and had fun. It semed more logical to run a front wheel drive, front engine car that had traction control and anti-lock brakes. There were 8-10 pro drivers from this weekends MX-5 race so it was an interesting group. In the second lap one of them lost it at the kink, spun and backed it into the wall. $6000 deductable on the liability form. John

Ouch - makes for an expensive day.
Did any of the Grand Am cars go out for practice laps. When I took my boys down for the AMLS race, I was surprised by the speed of the LMP2 cars and even the Porsche GT3s. While the best amature racers lap MO in the 1:35 to 1:40 range with 993s and M3s, the RS Spyders were running 1:15s for three hours! Even the GT3s ran in the 1:20s however, that is without the kink.

Yup - that's Mid-Ohio weather alright. Was that an open testing and tuning day?
I'm heading down tonight for the GrandAm weekend. Given my luck, I'm certain it will be raining there tonight at set up time!!
