Oil return tubes, a couple observations.

Just did all four with the SSI's on. It wasn't that bad really. Things I did not see (though they may exist) in the other forty score threads on this (maybe they are assumed knowledge?).

1) Use two hose-clamps per tube. Position them 1/2" - 3/4" from the outside O-rings. This seems to give the best access for leverage without being so close to the ends that they hit on the head before the tube fully seats.

2) Use two BIG flat blade screwdrivers to use as spreaders to open them up. I used Sil-Glide on everything, but they would bind up after a couple minutes so a fair amount of leverage was required. I'm betting the Dow 111 recommended works much better, but I like bloody knuckles, no really.

3) Forget getting pliers on the snap rings once the tubes are in (there is no room for them), you just have to tap them around their circumference with your long screwdriver mm by mm until they snap home. Oh yea, don't position them any further down the tube than required as it just add more distance for you to slide them.

4) As a first timer it took me 3 hours. (car was already in the air, meaning jacked up not lifted).

I'll know tomorrow about leaks, but with my luck....................

I wish you the best of luck.
I did the two rear ones about two weeks ago. The big leaks went away, but I've now found new (to my eyes) smaller ones...
The joy just never ends.
